About Us
I'm Kade Connolly and I reckon I've stumbled upon something properly interesting. See everyone thinks they're hiring me to paint their walls but that's not really what they're after. What they actually want is that moment when they walk into their room and forget what it used to look like. That split second when their brain goes "hang on this cant be the same space."
Funny thing is I started Connolly Coatings cause I noticed something dead simple. People don't just want a different coloured wall they want to feel different when they're in the room. Its like when you get a fresh haircut and catch yourself in the mirror and think "proper smart that." Same person different feeling.
Been doing this for years now and let me tell you the best bit isn't even the painting (though between you and me I'm pretty bloody good at it). Its when someone sends me a photo at 9pm on a Saturday saying "just had the neighbours round and they proper loved what you've done with the living room." Or when someone rings up saying their sister saw their kitchen and now wants their whole house done.
Some people might say I'm just a painter and decorator. But I reckon I'm actually in the business of making people send photos to their WhatsApp groups. Mental how a bit of paint can do that really.
Areas We Cover
You know what's peculiar about geography? The moment you say you "cover" certain areas, you instantly make anyone outside those areas feel excluded. At Connolly Coatings, we've noticed something rather interesting, our best clients don't choose us because we're the nearest decorators. They choose us because they have seen how we transformed their neighbor's home in Mickleover, or their sister's cottage in Duffield, or their colleague's shop in Derby city centre. Distance, we've found, is more psychological than physical. So while other decorators draw strict circles on maps, we prefer to think of our coverage area as a web of trust that spreads naturally across Derbyshire, one delighted conversation at a time. After all, a 20-minute drive is nothing when you're delivering something worth waiting for.
